Update:

We are very disheartened to share this announcement: We had rescheduled the event to October 3 in anticipation that the COVID-19 pandemic and the social distancing/mask requirements to combat its spread would have advanced to the stage where we could safely hold the contest. Unfortunately, the status of the pandemic and the mitigation requirements are still unsettled. Thus, the Songwriter Serenade Steering Committee has determined that the October 3, 2020 Songwriter Serenade is cancelled.

The Steering Committee also recognizes that COVID-19 has significantly impacted the songwriter community. Thus, the Committee has agreed to take the total prize money for the contest and divide it equally among our 15 semifinalists.

Looking to 2021, we truly hope that the COVID19 pandemic is behind us. We look forward to hosting the 2021 Songwriter Serenade. The Committee determined that it was only fair to grandfather our 2020 semifinalists into the 2021 contest. Thankfully, all of our semifinalists, judges and MC have agreed to participate in the 2021 Songwriter Serenade.

We pray that all of our Songwriter Serenade family navigate through the pandemic safely and stand ready to make the 2021 Songwriter Serenade the BEST EVER!
